Been a while...

Sorry - been distracted.
And still need to focus on work 'stuff', so here are a couple photos from today's site visit. The pool house already exists; they want it to have formal ok as a separate unit. No big deal. The site is lovely, the house and pool house seem comfortable and old-shoe. Well, so far as a place outfitted with I think 5 boats on the cove side, and a semi-private and gorgeous beach on the other, with an 1800 sf pool house and I don't remember how large a main house and tennis courts can be.

Love the clear glass at the end of the pool, so you see out towards Africa...

Workshop in town Wednesday night on Islamic Art and Tessellations, which sounds intriguing.

Been in soup-making mode - gazpacho, corn-mushroom-roast chicken soup, 'tangy lentil chickpea soup', which, in last version, I'd sauteed some garlic and sundried tomatoes, added handfuls of spinach and cooked to wilting, then stirred into the warmed soup. That soup is 'tangy' because of the lemon juice and bit of balsamic in it, and has very nice undertones of cinnamon and turmeric and curry. Is rather warm-weather for right now, I realize - but having soups ready gets me out of cooking when I come back at night.

We have locally grown okra and basil, hurrah. I've tossed the sliced okra with panko and cumin and ground pepper, and sometimes sauteed some chopped onions to add in at the last moment.
See - nothing much going on, just work, reading, and drawing. I haven't even been to the beach yet!
